The problem is Windows 10 Anniversary Edition. My 2013 Streets and Trips with the included GPS receiver worked fine until the Anniversary Edition. After that, plugging in the GPS causes the blue screen of death. There are a lot of discussions about this and the bottom line is, the driver just won't work any longer. Maptitude is the best Microsoft Streets and Trips™ alternative. The trip planning tools in Maptitude identify optimal routes for travel and deliveries, calculate the distances between destinations, and produce driving directions. Streets & Trips has been discontinued and Maptitude is the best replacement.

Sometimes you can install an old program in compatibility mode and it may or may not work. But there's no guarantee.In general, it's always a good idea to see if your existing software and hardware will work in a new operating system before installing it. That's a little tip that isn't mentioned in the advertising.
